Marinelli Couloir
This spring I had the good fortune to be invited to ski the Marinelli Couloir with Giulia Monego and Jonas (JD) Delogne. Here are some of the pictures from that unforgetable day.
The couloir is 2500 vertical meters at a sustained 45° and is known as the longest in the alps.
The conditions at the top were thin pow which gradually turned into cruisy corn as we entered the main couloir. We were able to make wide open GS turns down the whole thing; stopping every 200m to take in the view and wait for the others.
The finish was an easy push out. When the snow ended, we took off our ski boots and had a pleasant hike to the bottom. Epic ski, great people I couldn't have asked for more.
