Activity Level
The technical ability required for the Verbier trip is rated as strong advanced and above. In other words, the runs are technically challenging and sometimes with exposure. Each day we will be skiing hard with hiking and or skinning to get to powder stashes. So participants must be fit to very fit. All participants must train accordingly to fully enjoy this trip/camp. Even though we will be riding many lifts and stopping quite often (to enjoy the view, safely assess snow conditions, eat and drink, wait for other, etc) the altitude, jet lag recovery and accumulation of multiple, long days of freeriding will add up. The better shape you are in, the more fun you will have.

Snowboarders
Snowboarders and skiers inherently move at different rythms when travelling in the mountains. It is our goal to eventually offer seperate ski and snowboard camps. For now, we don't; we must therefore accomodate snowboarders on a per request basis. If you are a snowboarder, and are interested in joining one of our trips, please email us at info@chocolatefreeride.com.

Heli Skiing
Due to unpredictable changes in weather, and restrictions on landing areas, Heli Skiing is not always the best option for good skiing in the alps. If the conditions permit and are advantagous, we will recommend and arrange Heli-drops at an extra charge of 250chf per skier. Multiple drops are possible.

Climate
In any alpine environment, weather can change quickly and drastically. It could be 15 degrees Celsius one day and -20 Celsius the next. That said be prepared for any type of weather conditions. Layering with synthetics or wool is always the best way to go.
